The four-poster bed in the room is extremely high, making it a bit risky for older guests, especially at night. With limited lounge space and the small size of the room, it often felt cramped, especially with the sofa bed out for our daughter. The shower might not suit everyone. a preference for a walk-in would have been better, along with a choice of firmer pillows, as the flat ones didn't offer much support.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, especially the excellent breakfast and friendly staff who made our dining experience delightful after visiting the magnificent Chatsworth House, which is just a short walk away and absolutely worth seeing for its beautiful architecture and gardens.

Couple getaway with a touch of charm

The staff were wonderful, cheery and helpful. They even made sure our room was ready early so we could settle in before our afternoon plans! the food is amazing, I mean, the lamb was so tender it fell apart like it was made with care rather than just thrown on a plate.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but let’s just say it was reasonable enough for what we got.
